The
landing light was a fun little sub-kit. It was emotionally tough to cut
holes in the wing, but after getting past this, the kit went in nicely.
The light fixture is held in place with just two screw clamping down on washers
- the washers hold the reflector as show in this picture.
Using
the "strapping tape" method, we were able to get a pretty good
fit. I think the only thing that could have made it better would have been
to re-mold the plastic to the shape of our wing.
When
finished, we covered it up and moved on to the next task.
