Behind the
panel, up against the sub-panel, we put two vents in. On the left is a
blower to help remove fog/condensation on the windscreen. On the right, it
is passive and meant to help remove heat from the avionics area.
Both vents
are simply pieces of hardware store screen pop riveted in place with washers on
the back side.
After
riveting, we filled and sanded down the pop rivet heads flush with the skin.
After
installation. There is a duplicate vent on the right hand side just over
the avionics rack. The small white switch controls the blower under the
glareshield.
